Oh Yes (Little Chinese Windows)
Each of Louise's ‘Little Chinese Windows’ depicts a curated vignette of objects arranged as a still life image with image details layered over the top.
Louise has used a fun and funky ‘Oh Yes’! sequin appliqué found in a market as the center piece. It is pinned to a piece of vintage silk turquoise blue fabric with silver embroidered Chrysanthemums and covered in little white blossoms for a fresh uplifting color palette. Either side, Louise has added a beautiful jade green tea flask with an image of a pink peony on it opposite a turquoise teapot full of jade paintbrushes. In front sits a pretty yellow teacup and saucer full of jasmine flowers. Overlayed are some images of little shiny ‘bee appliqués’ busily buzzing around the flowers.
