Chinoiserie in Aquamarine & Powder Blues
In this artwork, Louise Hill has created a silk 'window frame' for collages images to sit within, inspired by the ornate wooden screen in her Hong Kong studio. These include the main Chinoiserie botanical wallpaper, and the birds, goldfish, and butterflies in gold inks, silhouetted against a delicate blue brocade. Louise especially loves the old Chinese packaging label from an embroidered box that is faded and worn, showing its history; the vivid teal hand-painted tea set, the vintage Indian sari fabrics, and the pieces of porcelain she bought at the floating water markets in China.
Each print is hand-painted with gold ink as a final finishing touch.
Louise's highly detailed prints are a delight to explore and yield new details on every perusal.

Each print also includes a 'Certificate of Authenticity' sticker sealed with a gold foil logo, embossed stamp, signature and edition number for attaching to the back of the print once framed.
