Kaanso Bench

Kaanso means dragonfly in the Thai North-Eastern dialect. The shape of this bench is inspired by the silhouette of the insect’s wings. The black and white pattern created by the nylon cords wrapped around each rattan frame is Kitt.Ta.Khon’s unique interpretation of the woven technique. From African techniques to macrame to Southeast Asian wickerwork, Kaanso has pushed handcraft design beyond cultures.
