Fat Boy Chair (Painted)
Fat Boy is a project where Kitt.Ta.Khon questions the concept of “sufficiency” in craft production. For this series of chairs, hand-weaving techniques and patterns are deconstructed into pixels for easier communication and execution of ideas for the craftsman in charge. The chair is made of natural rubber wood that is painted on, and decorated with various pattern of polypropylene strips.

Fat Boy is a project where Kitt.Ta.Khon questions the concept of “sufficiency” in craft production. While incubating this, they first took into consideration the ideal timeframe of production that is achievable for craftsmen to take home work that is not overbearing to their full-time position but can provide them with an extra source of income.
Working within this suitable timeframe, hand weaving techniques and patterns were deconstructed into pixels for easier communication and execution of ideas. This customization system allows the craftsman to explore and improve new skills with every new and non-repeating design thus creating a relationship where communication and learning exist between the maker and the consumer.
