Chino Console

Chino is inspired by the traditional Chinese console from Qing Dynasty. Based on graphic design practice, rattan is used to outline the basic shape of the table while the black and white cord wrap employs a design language that harks back to different cultures.

At first glance, you may recognize the Chinese-inspired structure but upon further inspection, familiar patterns and details that can be seen in African, Moroccan, and European designs shine through, transforming the console into an intercontinental piece. The console is topped with clear tempered glass to highlight the intricate base structure, which is often hidden and underappreciated below opaque tabletops.
