The calligraphy brush rack, or translated as "brush peak" in Chinese, used to be an essential item for literary writers. This Lake Stone Brush Rack from the Tranquility series is inspired by the porous nature of stones.
Traditionally, stones are said to represent heavenly mountains, while caves represent the pathway to paradise. Although man made, with its irregular shape and porous aesthetic, this brush rack looks like a naturally formed lake stone. When placed on a table, it transcends the user through the immortal mountains to an otherworldly space.
