MusicCloth® Paper Cut Animals (Cranes)
MusicCloth® Paper Cut Animals marries the ancient folk art of Chinese Paper Cut (jianzhi 剪纸) with MusicCloth® - an innovative material, handwoven out of cassette tapes. Made by Rehyphen®, each cloth is meticulously woven together by artisans using discarded cassette tapes from the analog days.
The result – a rich fabric layered with uniqueness and sentimentality. A symmetrical pair of auspicious fishes are cut out skillfully by artisans, wishing blessings of prosperity (招财进宝) upon the receiver.
Winner of the Red Dot 21 Innovative Material Award.
