Jasmine Phoenix Pearls (Plum Canister)

A light, refreshing tea with an unforgettable aroma, Jasmine Phoenix Pearls require a lot of work, skill and time to produce. It is essentially a green tea infused with Jasmine flowers.

Once the blossoms are harvested, they are sorted by hand and laid out on bamboo baskets. Green tea leaves are layered with the fresh Jasmine blossoms and left overnight to absorb the essential oils. The blossoms are then separated out from the tea leaves by hand and fresh blossoms are layered in. This entire process is repeated 7 to 9 times over 14 days.

After the tea has absorbed the desired level of aroma, it is painstakingly hand-rolled into almond-shaped balls which slowly open up during infusion.

This traditional craft goes back generations and requires a great deal of expertise to master. Only the Tea Master knows when it is time to move to the next stage, through sight, smell, and touch.
