Socoon Hanging Lamp (Medium)
The Hanging Lamp is made from white silk propagated cocoons cut in half. The cocoons are sewn together by hand using a technique developed by the Saraburi community in Thailand. Each lamp, shaped like a floating cloud, takes about a week to complete.
When the lamp is turned on, it glows like the moon. The cocoons also act as aroma diffusers when sprayed with fragrance due to their absorbent characteristics.
Recipient of the Demak Award from the Ministry of Commerce, Thailand.
