The Scholar Stones Series explores an important philosophical question: where do I come from?
The artist has used the stone as a means to communicate and create her own language. Every stone inspires a different form of expression and emotion. Every artwork attempts to capture the deep attachment that the people from Jiangnan have for their homeland.
The paintings showcase traditional Chinese calligraphy strokes composed spontaneously and yet carefully thought out. They are an ode to the stones that inspired them.
