Cirebon Cloud Tea Tray
Two-tone lacquer tray in teal blue and indigo with silver highlights, ideal for serving light refreshments or holding accessories. The tray has a high gloss finish, with curved surfaces that bring out the lacquer’s vivid colors and deep shine.
The illustration is inspired by the Cirebon batik Megamendung pattern from Java. The Megamendung pattern, which resembles Chinese cloud imagery, stems from Chinese influences that can be seen in the culture of the port city of Cirebon. The clouds, full of water particles, symbolize the coming of rain to give fertility and life to the earth.
